Program of the top 100 songs of 1969 aired on January 1 1970. Notice Bob Raleigh calls himself Jr then Sr....according to the WPGC tribute site amandfmmorningside.com there were several people at the station using the same name so they used Jr and Sr to distinguish them even though they were not related.

Panasonic 1970 portable radio model RF-1600 6 bands AM FM VHF AIR MB AND SW
Panasonic 1970 portable radio model RF-1600 6 bands AM FM VHF AIR MB AND SW
1970 Panasonic transistor portable radio found at the flea market for 3.00. It has 6 bands separate bass and treble controls It has a squelch control AFC control, external antenna connections, and phono input. It has a very unique lighted rotary tuner selector for the different bands. The radio is in very good cosmetic condition, and is mostly aluminum and chrome. The first AM station playing at the beginning of the video is WLS Chicago, which is over 400 miles away. The reception in my work shop is very bad on AM or SW due to the high voltage power lines . Late 60's to Mid 70's progressive hard rock band, I love those unique sounding late 60's, early 70's keyboards Sugarloaf and many other groups used at that time. Same stereo gear used in digital transfer as shown in my channel background photo.

Film recorded December 26, 1970 of Don Schuster on the air at WWWW-FM (W4) radio 106.7 in Detroit, Michigan. The footage at the start of the video features the classic WWWW sign on Jefferson Avenue. 1970 , Top 40 3uz , Stan Rofe, 10 to 1
Stan Rofe, aka Stan the Man, originally on 3KZ in Melbourne in the late 1950s and 1960s, and then on 3UZ in the 1970s (and on various FM stations after that) was a true icon on the local rock music radio DJ scene. This 1970 aircheck is from Bluehaze. Oct. 1970 one hour excerpt from Stan's Sunday arvo Top 40 countdown on 3UZ and hearing all the ancient music being played, it suddenly hit me - this was the first time these songs had been aired! The thought of that suddenly rocked me - people were actually flocking out to buy these 7 inch singles in their millions. Elvis Presley was still alive, rating number 8 with "The Wonder Of You" (and touring Detroit) ... wow! (comment Bluehaze)

FM (No Static At All) - Steely Dan (1978)
FM (No Static At All) - Steely Dan (1978)
"FM (No Static At All)", sometimes referred to as "FM", was a song by American jazz-rock band Steely Dan. It was the title theme to the 1978 film "FM". The soundtrack to the film won the 1979 Grammy Award for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, with engineers Roger Nichols and Al Schmitt taking the honors. The song reached #22 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Steely Dan is an American rock band consisting of core members Donald Fagen (born January 10, 1948) and Walter Becker (born February 20, 1950). The band's popularity peaked in the late 1970s with the release of seven albums blending elements of jazz, rock, funk, R&B, and pop. Rolling Stone magazine has called them "the perfect musical antiheroes for the Seventies." The band's music is characterized by complex jazz-influenced structures and harmonies played by Becker and Fagen along with a revolving cast of rock and pop studio musicians. Steely Dan toured from 1972 to 1974, but in 1975 became a purely studio-based act. The late 1970s saw the group release a series of moderately successful singles and albums. They disbanded in 1981, and throughout most of the next decade, Fagen and Becker remained largely inactive in the music world. During this time, the group steadily built and maintained a cult following. In 1993, the group resumed playing live concerts, and the early 21st century saw Steely Dan release two albums of new material, the first of which earned a Grammy Award for Album of the Year. The Grateful Dead & Duane Allman - Lovelight 1970
The Grateful Dead with Duane & Gregg Allman, Berry Oakley, Butch Trucks, Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood and Danny Kirwan Fillmore East February 11, 1970 Lovelight "patch" 30:13 - 30:46 (unknown audience master) From "Searching for the Sound" by Phil Lesh: Jerry says to Phil of The Allman Brothers Band on their way to this show: "make sure you check these guys out... they're kinda like us... they jam hard." Butch Trucks joins on drums. Mickey Hart attacks his gigantic gong. Mick Fleetwood and Danny Kirwan "find room to join the festivities. It's a surprisingly coherent free-for-all, with five guitarists , four drummers, organ, and -- Pigpen roaring over it all." Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Peter Green, Danny Kirwan and Duane Allman on guitars. "Gregg takes a verse ... Sounding like a fifty-year-old black man even then." Pig Pen and Gregg Allman trade vocals throughout, and Gregg plays organ. Berry Oakley takes over on bass about halfway through Lovelight, as Phil just wants to listen! After the show, "I walk outside -- it's daylight, and snow is falling gently on the streets of New York... I grab Bob and Jerry in a group embrace: This is what it's all about."

eRikm & Fm Einheit
eRikm & Fm Einheit
eRikm (fr) Between his reputation as swift shifting improviser, concréte composer and turntable deconstructionist, Marseilles based artist ERIKM has earned himself an enviable position in the European music community. ERIKM has instinctively followed a relatively unusual, even risky, career path. Stemming from his interest in visual arts and his first musical experience as a rock guitarist, he has for some years now become steadily more and more renowned for his virtuoso turntabling and his use of electronic instruments and tools in an integrated scenic set-up eRikm has followed up musical collaborations with Voice Crack, Christian Marclay, Luc Ferrari, among others. He is certainly one of the better equipped artists of the new generation to actually demonstrate a relationship between rock music (in its widest sense) and contemporary music; hiding behind neither cultural camouflage nor an easy pandering to his audience. www.erikm.com FM Einheit (all) FM Einheit (also known as FM Einheit, FM, Mufti, real name Frank Martin Strauss, born December 18, 1958, in Dortmund) is an industrial and electronic musician from Germany. While primarily known for his percussion work with the influential industrial group Einstürzende Neubauten, he has also collaborated with KMFDM, Goethes Erben and recorded several albums in collaboration with other musicians (such as Andreas Ammer, Ulrike Haage) and solo. FM Einheit was also involved in the projects Stein and Gry. Early years In the late ...
